Business Manager, Head of Nordic to Icotera

Grooo has been commissioned to find a Business Manager, Head of Nordic to Icotera, the leading provider of innovative optical fiber CPE and Smart Home fiber network solutions (FTTH).

Icotera was founded in Denmark, where the HQ is located. Icotera with its products has taken marketshare in the UK, France, DACH as well as in the Nordics. In 2017 they opened an office in Stockholm, Sweden. The new office is part of the strategy to build a market leading presence in Sweden, with products specifically designed for the Swedish fiber market requirements, created in close cooperation with leading Swedish operators. About the role
As Business Manager, Head of Nordic, you will take on full responsibility and ownership for growing, and strengthening Icotera’s position in Sweden, Norway, Island and Finland. This mainly refers to being responsible for creating, and identifying business opportunities in new customers, as well as maintaining old relationships. You will be a part of a small and tight sales-team and report directly to the company’s CSO. While working closely with existing customers and new leads, as Business manager, Head of Nordic you will be engaged in presenting information to Icotera´s product solutions. Negotiation of contracts, preparations of sales quotes, monitor on-going business, answer RFI/RFQ/RFP’s, execute customer workshops, etc. are other responsibility areas of yours. Leading cross-functional activities across technical sales/Support, R&D, Marketing, Operations and Finance to meet organizational goals, will also be areas handled by you. Since you are in charge of a wide geographical area, frequent travel activity for customer visits and tradeshows is expected.

About you 
We are looking for you that has at least +5 years of experience from a similar role within sales to network providers or service providers. You have good technical understanding, probably arising from working within sales related to the service provider industry. Have you also worked for a product-company inside the CPE business selling products and solutions based on fiber termination or wi-fi/router sales that has been going through an international expansion phase, this is strongly meritorious. A relevant university degree is also a great plus. As a person you are self-driven, goal-oriented and with great engagement to drive sales and business forward. You have strong relationships with customers in the industry and finds great energy in creating and maintaining new relationships at every level at your customer’s organisation. You are observant noticing sales opportunities and flexible in your approach. Moreover, you have great communication skills and a ”people person” when I comes to building new, and maintaining old relationships. Experience from sales management including budget responsibility along with a strategic mindset related to courses of actions in order to make profitable decisions are all key to succeed in this role.
